It's been so long since I've been on here so many things have happens & changed. My little man Quinn is 6 now & going to be a first grader in the fall! It's so hard to believe how fast they grow. Ian my oldest stepson moved in with us last summer. It's been a challenge getting routines down but we are getting it & loving having him with us. Plus he's a great big brother & babysitter ;) 

Just gonna make this a quick post & play catch up more later. My plan is to start posting more again!

Holy moly! Is it ever time to play catch up! I've been away from blogging for awhile now & feel it's time to get back at it.

This is the first time for me to post from my phone! I got an LG Quantum last May and love the smartphone world! I'm actually thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 4s this year since has so many more photography apps.

Quinn is in preschool this year and loves it most days. He only goes 3 days/wk as that is all i could afford. Its good though, i think he is getting the socialization he's needed. I worry about the fall though when he starts kindergarten & going full days.

I lost my job about a month ago. It was over some bullshit crap too. I am a little bitter about the whole thing so i won't get into just yet. I was accused of doing something i did not do. But i have decided to take this time to work obln myself, my family & to find out what i really want. I hope i can do all of that before i absolutely have to get back to work.

So there is a bit of catch up, I really want to work on my photography more and I hope to share much more here!

Wordless Wednesday: Turning 5

Wordless/Wordful Wednesday

Well it is time to get back, I've been gone longer than I expected to be, just kinda got out of the blogging thing. But I do enjoy having a place to share so here I am, back at it again! =D

The 17th was by baby boys 5th birthday! I can not believe how fast the time has gone, a person truly has no idea how fast it can go until one becomes a parent.

Questions for Friday, July 29th:

 

1. Vow renewal ceremonies-yay or nay?

Yay! I'd love to renew our vows. This is the 2nd time round for both Scott and myself and we had a very simply, very cheap, justice of the peace, in the backyard wedding. I'd love to be able to renew our vows and have a big fun party! :D

2. What sound/s annoy you the most?

Honestly right now it would have to be the incessant whining of Master Q, he's been bad lately and it's driving me nuts! Otherwise, I don't think any specific sound, just those that could be controlled/stopped but someone or something is not stopping them. lol

3. If you had to pick, would you have only all boys, or only all girls for kids?

I guess since I have a son and 2 step-sons maybe I would choose girls lol just to see the difference.

4. Do you believe in alternative medicine?

I believe that the mind is a very powerful thing, and that some alternative remedies do work if you truly want them to.

5. Would you take a family member's children and raise them if they needed it?

My instinct is to say yes of course. But when thinking about it a bit more, I kinda also think it might depend on the situation. But I think most likely yes I would with out question.

Five Question Friday

Questions for Friday, June 24th: 

1. If you had the opportunity to bungee jump, would you?

I think I would, at least I say I would right now with my feet firmly planted on the ground. Not sure how I'd react once up there and ready to actually jump though?!

2. Would you rather go to the movie theater or to the drive-in?

I'd love to go to a drive-in, I've never been and I think it would be kinda romantic.

3. Do you have your groceries delivered?

Nope go get them all on our own

4. Eyebrows: Do you wax, thread, pluck, or stay au naturel?

I have waxed, but not regularly. I'm lucky my hair is fair and doesn't show up too much.

5. Would the people you went to high school with be surprised by your life today?

Probably not, I don't really know lol I wasn't too close with too many in High School, at least not at HS, I had older friends mostly.

I think my favorite pic for June is this one. We went to see the record setting water levels at Gavins Point Dam in Yankton SD last weekend. At times the water would splash up and soak the onlookers! Master Q had a blast trying to run from the water!

1. What is your current favorite tv show?

Right now I'm really into watching In Plain Sight, love Mary McCormick & the wittiness of her character! I also like Covert Affairs

2. What's the worst haircut you ever got?

A total boy cut, I see the pictures of it now (and thankfully can't find any to post) and I just think WTH was my mom thinking?!

3. What was something that you did as a child that you thought you were so cool for doing?

That would be wearing leg warmers, jelly shoes and slap bracelets

4. Do you have any GREAT frugal family fun tips?

Doing crafts from reusable materials is always fun. Interesting to see what you can come up with.

5. Would you drive across country if you had the money to fly?

Yes, I would prefer to see everything along the way as long as I also had the time to do so! :)

This week Master Q has been very clingy. Every night I went to work he was there to tell me not to go and how much he would miss me :( So last night we hung out together in his bed for awhile playing on my iPod touch. Until he crashed face down on me! lol

Photo Story Friday: Yucky Week

This week has been an icky one. It's my long week at work so I never get as many pictures, plus I'm simply trying to get more taken. But then this week to add to the work stress Master Q became sick late Wed. night. Daddy was with him while he threw up most the night. I was off Thur. night so I was with him through the fever and achyness, poor boy just could not get comfy, then his throat started hurting :( 

Fortunately he was starting to feel better today!
